(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Kazarma is a bright and colorful level-based shooter by indie developer, Legal Radiation. The ancient bridge of Kazarma which connects the human colonies of the Galaxy, has been invaded by aliens. Your job is to drive traverse the bridge and away the invaders. Controls are simple with just dragging your thumb to move and shoot. In between levels, you can purchase new ammo/power-ups and upgrade your ship permanently. You can also buy new ships and customize them with different colors. I’ve been really enjoying this game. The levels are randomly generated, there’s a bunch of stuff to unlock, and most of all, it’s fun to play. The only thing it’s missing is an endless mode. Luckily, once you finish the 50 levels, there’s a new “Challenge Mode” that you can unlock. So, if you’re a fan of SHMUPS or action games in general, Kazarma is definitely a game worth checking out!
