(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Mathmare is an avoidance game by indie developer, Epheko that is described as a “mathematics bullet-hell”. It’s a simple game where you are controlling a bug as you dodge incoming waves of mathematical designs. The object is to last for 30 seconds in each of the 24 levels. There’s honestly not much else to Mathmare. The visuals are simple, yet beautiful and it’s got a really calming soundtrack. I will say that it does resemble some bullet-hell games in the later levels. Especially with how difficult it can get. Mathmare may not have a lot of bells & whistles, but it’s still a fun little game that’s worth checking out.
Mathmare is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
