Space Gunners is a pixel art vertical shooter by the 3-man team at Day137. You play as the Space Gunner Organization as they try to defend themselves and humankind from an alien threat. The game is level based with several planets, moons, and star systems. There’s specials levels, boss fights, and quite a bit more. The one-handed controls work really smooth even for a lefty like me! Space Gunners is actually pretty cool with great pixel art and tons of things to unlock and upgrade. The only downside is that with it being F2P (free to play), there’s the usual random loot drops, dual currency, always online stuff. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but it’s one of those games that would’ve been so much better as a paid game. Luckily, everything seems pretty fair and I haven’t come across any timers. Regardless, Space Gunners is a pretty cool SHMUP with quite a bit of content. If you’re a fan of F2P shooters, this one is worth checking out.
