(From The Attic is a way for us to bring new life to older titles. With so many games releasing on the App Store on a daily basis, it’s easy to overlook a game or two or forget about a game you once played, but never finished.)
Fairy Fire is a side scrolling action-arcade game that released on the App Store back in April of 2015 by indie developer, Stefan Preuss. You play as a wizard that’s defending the fairies from evil monsters. The game is kind of a mixture of a shooter and a defense game. The object is to grab the fairies and escort them to a “warp hole” before they are killed. It’s a simple concept, but gets to be pretty chaotic the further you progress. Luckily, you can upgrade your wizard with gems that you collect to help you out. Fairy Fire may be a bit of a grind to some, but the game is still a lot of fun and holds up pretty well on current gen hardware. If you somehow missed this one back when it released or have just forgotten about it all together, Fairy Fire is still worth checking out.
