(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Labyrinth Legend is a retro-style action RPG by indie developers, Shinobi Games and Hirosato. It’s a pretty basic good vs evil story. The Kingdom has been cursed by the Evil Queen and you set off to try and clear the Labyrinth. The game itself plays really well. It’s a lot of dungeon crawling, collecting treasures and equipment. What’s nice is that dungeons are randomly generated, so you never know what you’re going to find. In between runs, you can head into town and upgrade your weapons, unlock new skills, and even create magical accessories. Labyrinth Legend is a really solid RPG that’s oozing with charm. The on-screen controls are pretty smooth and the pixel art is well done. There’s tons to do and best of all, not an IAP in site (besides to remove ads). If you’re a fan at all of RPGs, this game is definitely worth checking out.
