(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Path to Mnemosyne is a creepy adventure/puzzle game that recently released on the App Store by Devilish Games under the Crescent Moon umbrella. This is a hard game to describe. You’re basically controlling a little girl as you walk down a path into your mind as you try and recover your lost memories. A lot of Path of Mnemosyne is about solving puzzles. The game does a great job making you think outside the box to solve a lot of these too. I found myself stuck a few times and had to go back to the game with a clear mind. So make sure that you pay attention to EVERYTHING! I’ve been really enjoying this game so far. The controls are simple and the story is interesting. Oh, and I highly recommend playing with headphones! Between the bizarre sketchy visuals and the eerie soundtrack, it makes Path to Mnemosyne a really creepy experience. Even if you’re not a fan of puzzle games, Path of Mnemosyne is definitely worth playing through.
Path to Mnemosyne is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
