(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Hidden Through Time is a hidden object game that recently released on the App Store by Crazy Monkey Studios. There’s not much else you can say to describe a hidden object game. It’s a fun little journey that’s themed through different eras in time. At first, Hidden Through Time didn’t really impress me much. Sure, the hand drawn visuals are cute and some of the hiding places were witty. But, I’ve seen it before with games like Hidden Folks. What makes this game stand out from the rest is the level editor. I spent more time creating my own little worlds than I did on the story mode. There’s so many tiny trinkets and decorations that you can use to create your own level. I would have loved to have seen a city builder type of game with this theme. On top of that, you can upload your levels and play online. It’s pretty cool checking out other player’s creations and finding their hidden objects. I ended up liking Hidden Through Time a lot more than I expected. Even though the story mode may not bring a whole lot new to the table, it more than makes up for it with its level editor and online mode. If you were a fan of Hidden Folks, I think you’ll really like Hidden Through Time.
Fun Fact: I always hide the SNAPP Attack “S” somewhere on the cover of every SNAPP Review.
