(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER SNAPP CHALLENGE GLITCHES!!
This week’s SNAPP Challenge is on the recently released game Jasper- The Coin Hunter by indie developer Michael Bischof. Jasper is a pixel art high-score chaser where you play as a treasure hunting ghost. (Hey, I just got that! Like Casper!) There’s not much to the game. You tap on the left, right, and center of the screen to move Jasper around as you try and grab coins. If you touch the spikes or walls, it’s game over. It’s a low scoring and unforgiving game with quick and painful deaths every few seconds. The highest score is only around 23 coins with me sitting pretty in that sweet 11th place spot. (I’m rocking a high score of 4 coins!) Jasper is a decent little game with solid controls. Sure, I would have liked to have seen some different characters, but for what it is, the game is great. With GameCenter leaderboards and a quick turnaround after a death, Jasper- The Coin Hunter fits perfectly for this week’s Challenge!
If you want to get all up in this week’s SNAPP Challenge action, all you have to do is post a screenshot with the hashtag #SNAPPChallenge and post it on social media or our Discord! The winner is usually posted Monday morning.
Jasper- The Coin Hunter is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
