(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Super Fowlst 2 is the third installment in the “Fowlst” series by indie developer Thomas Young of CatCup Games. It’s crazy to think that this is a series now. I still remember reviewing the original game back in 2017. Yes, Fowlst is back in true sequel form with everything I loved about the first two games, turned up a notch. It’s still the same premise as before. Flapping your way through endless levels while squashing baddies and collecting coins. This time around, everything feels bigger and more polished. The visuals are more detailed and colorful, the levels are more intricate, and new characters are charming. There’s also a TON of new power-ups and upgrades. I especially like the new body slam feature. A lot of times games start to feel a little stale by their third installment, but I’m happy to say that’s not the case with this game. Sure, it’s a bit “safe” and doesn’t stray too far from the first two games, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Fowlst has always been an iOS staple with Super Fowlst 2 now being the crown jewel of the series. If you liked the first two games, you’ll love this one. If you haven’t played either, then now is the time!
Super Fowlst 2 is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
