It’s no secret that I love me some endless runners. I’ve always been a fan of them. Unfortunately, the market is flooded with this genre of games, so people have been burned out on runners for awhile now. But, every so often when all the stars align, a game comes out that is so good, it makes you forget about all the other endless runners on the App Store. That game is Shank n’ Bake. Shank n’ Bake is an over-the-top auto-runner by Mega Dwarf that recently released on the App Store. You play as a jelly filled muffin man as he seeks revenge on all healthy food. It’s a hilarious story with ultra violent deaths mixed with cutesy visuals…..and I’m loving every minute of it. Shank n’ Bake is fast paced, unforgiving, and downright ridiculous at times. Death is around every corner. Whether it’s from a hot grill, a cheese grater, or anything else that I haven’t come across yet, you will die….a LOT. Now, I will say that the controls took a little while getting used to. I’m not really a fan of them, but they work. I would have really liked the controls to be customizable. Regardless, Shank n’ Bake is one of those games that really need to be played to appreciate everything. There’s just too much to cram into a single paragraph. So, If you’re at all a fan of auto/endless runners or platformers, this game really should be on your device right now.
