(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again. I love finding quirky/weird games on the App Store. It’s great to see when developers do something that’s just a little bit…..different. Babycar: The Game is a physics-based game that recently released on the App Store by indie developer ZhaoFeng You. You control a baby carriage as you try and catch whatever is thrown at you. This can be anything from big bananas, shoes, to whatever else the game throws at you. The object is to get the item inside or balancing on top of the carriage for a few seconds in order to pass the level. It’s a simple concept that is ridiculously hard to master. It took me forever just to get past the second stage! I guess that’s all part of the fun of Babycar. It reminds me a lot of the Philipp Stollenmayer games, which I’m sure it takes some inspiration from. Babycar is one of those games that keeps you playing just to see what’s next. The game is going to annoy you and probably make you rage quit more than a few times, but it’s worth every minute in my opinion. Definitely check this little gem out!
Babycar: The Game is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
