Armored Heroes is a side-scrolling tank game that was recently released on the App Store by 1Der Entertainment. The game is loosely set during the battles of WWII as you make your way through multiple historical battles. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how fun this game is. There are a bunch of these side scrolling tank battle games on the App Store, but very few of them are single player campaigns. Even after the first couple levels, I still wasn’t impressed. The levels were short and felt a little easy. But, once you get past the onboarding, Armored Heroes really starts to open up. The on-screen controls are pretty basic, but get the job done and the 2D visuals really grew on me after a while. There is quite a bit of content packed into this game also. There are 150 levels across 3 different areas, a bunch of different tanks that can all be upgraded and painted to your liking, and several different types of ammo to use. The game may not look the greatest or have all the bells and whistles that are in most F2P games, but I feel that it does perfectly fine without all of that. Armored Heroes is just a really solid side-scroller that any fans of the genre should check out.
