Best Hero is an action-arcade-puzzle game and the newest title by Bad Crane that was recently released on the App Store. You play as a superhero as you try to defeat evil monsters from outer space that have taken over the city. Best Hero is a game that seems easy at first, but once you get past the early levels, things get pretty tricky. The object of each level is to defeat the monster. But first you’ll need to take down its guard before you can attack. This is usually something like collecting all the diamonds on the screen prior. What makes things tough is that your hero is constantly in motion once you start. So, you’ll need to act fast and slingshot your hero at the right time in order to collect everything that you need and attack the monster without hitting any traps. Best Hero is a tough, but really fun game once you get the hang of it. The overall presentation is well done and there are some really unique level designs. There are 200 levels to keep you busy and 12 different characters to unlock. Unfortunately, the characters are only cosmetic. I would have liked to have seen each character have some sort of unique ability to them. This would’ve helped keep things fresh during the later levels. Regardless, Best Hero is a fun arcade game that’ll take some skill to finish.
