Lovecraft’s Mythos Run is a pixel art endless runner by Blini Games that was recently released on the App Store. Based on the 2019 Untold Stories PC game, Mythos Run has you endlessly running from a huge flying polyp. Each run will have you dealing with all sorts of creatures and traps that are trying to slow you down or kill you. Your character runs on their own, so the controls just have you tapping on the left or right side of the screen to shoot left or right and swiping down to dodge. Mythos Run is a fun game once you get in the groove. It’s definitely not an easy game with most of my runs only lasting 10-15 seconds. But, for some reason I keep coming back for more. You can also earn coins during each run that you can use to purchase new equipment. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to grind for those coins. I’ve been playing for quite awhile now and still haven’t earned enough to purchase anything. My only major gripe with Mythos Run is the text is kind of small. (Maybe I’m just getting old?) Other than that, Lovecraft’s Mythos Run is a solid endless runner that takes me back to about 5 years ago when the genre was really popular. If you’re a fan of dying or are like me and still have love for endless runners, this one is definitely worth checking out!
