(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Time Bullet is a 2D endless shooter by indie developer Danylo Holets that was recently released on the App Store. It’s a top-down shooter where time only moves when you move. The object is to basically get as far as you can by going room to room and shooting down waves of enemies. As you progress, you’ll earn coins that you can use for upgrades so you can do it all over again. This is the perfect example that you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles to have a fun game. Time Bullet doesn’t have a ton of extras, it doesn’t have a story. Hell, it doesn’t even have an ending. It’s just got a great game loop that keeps you wanting to come back for more. With the game being a high-score chaser, I would’ve liked some sort of leaderboards. But, with the game having upgrades, I could see that posing a problem. Regardless, Time Bullet is a great…..Time Waster (see what I did there?). Definitely check this little gem out!
