Alchemy Dungeon is a roguelike puzzle game that was recently released on the App Store by indie developer 717pixels. It’s a game about merging items, finding new recipes, and trying to stay alive as long as possible. Each run has you facing off against a random amount of enemies on a board. You’ll need to merge items on the screen to create new recipes to help you in battle. This can be something simple like merging two broken swords to make a whole sword or something a little trickier like merging a cold coin and a potion to create a bomb. You can learn new recipes by just trial & error or purchasing recipes in the shop. Speaking of. As you progress, you’ll pick up coins throughout your runs that you can use to purchase things like recipes for new monsters, weapons, heroes, and more. You can also earn coins by completing contracts. I honestly haven’t been able to put this game down since I downloaded it. Every run is completely different from the last and needs a bit of strategy if you want to get anywhere. You can also upgrade your character and powers which will keep you alive that much longer. If you’re a fan of puzzle or strategy games, Alchemy Dungeon is a must have!
