CyberWave Survivor is a survival space shooter by Adam Rogan that was recently released on the App Store. It’s a minimalistic game that’s simply about defending cyber planets from waves of enemy ships. Each planet has you taking on around 10 waves of enemies. As you progress, you’ll earn currency that you can use after each wave to refill your health, add a new shield or follower orb, and upgrade your ship’s speed and fire rate. I’ll be the first person to say that this game is challenging. I found myself barely getting past the second or third wave. But, once I started using my currency a little more wisely in between waves, things got a bit easier. CyberWave Survivor is a solid sci-fi shooter/survival game with a nice minimalist art style. It’s challenging and forces you to make strategic decisions with your upgrades. I would’ve liked to have seen a few more upgrades to play with, but that’s just nitpicking. With 7 different planets to unlock/play, CyberWave Survivor is well worth picking up.
