Fireball Wizard is a side-scrolling action-adventure game by Pid Games/GinTronic that was recently released on the App Store under the Plug In Digital umbrella. In this game you play as a powerful wizard as you fight enemies, solve puzzles, and explore Wizardonia. Fireball Wizard is your standard side scrolling level-based game. The main objective is to get through each level without dying. There is usually some light platforming, tons of enemies to kill, and hidden rooms to find. What makes this game stand out is the level design. The first couple levels are pretty simple to get you used to things. But as you progress, the levels start to incorporate puzzle elements to make it through. There’s also a good bit of challenge in the game. Luckily, there are new wands to purchase and spells to unlock that’ll help you make it through to the end. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about Fireball Wizard. The on-screen controls work well, the pixel art is beautifully done. The whole game is really polished. Every time I play, I find something that I haven’t seen before. Fireball Wizard is a solid side-scroller that’s well worth the full game unlock IAP.
