Hyper Racer is a pixel art endless racer that was released on the App Store last month by Macapot. It’s a simple racing game where the objective is to get as far as possible before hitting something or running out of fuel. The controls are just as simple with moving your thumb across the screen to direct your vehicle where to go. The only thing that isn’t simple is the actual game itself! Hyper Racer is fast, frantic, and unforgiving. Runs are usually short due to running into traffic or missing a fuel canister and running out of gas. As you play, you’ll earn coins that you can use to unlock new vehicles. This is where a bit of strategy comes into play. Each vehicle has its own unique stats and pros/cons. A certain vehicle may be faster, but might run out of fuel faster. It’s all about finding the right fit for your play style. There’s not a whole lot to Hyper Racer outside of what you see, but it’s a game that I keep going back to. The game has GameCenter leaderboards and achievements, but I’m currently getting my ass kicked at the moment. If you’re looking for a decent time killer, Hyper Racer is worth checking out.
