(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
This is one of those games that are tough to fit into a category/genre. Marblox is an arcade-y physics-y puzzle-ish type of game that was recently released on the App Store by Kirill Losev. The objective of the game is to knock down a set of blocks in as little tries as possible. Each level has an object that you need to destroy in a limited amount of tries with your trusty slingshot and balls. Things seem fairly simple at first with basically just aiming at the structure and letting the balls do their work. But once things like TNT blocks are added, you’ll need to use a bit of strategy to get through each level. As you progress, you’ll earn cash that you can use to upgrade things like ball amount, shoot force, height of your slingshot, and more. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game so far. Marblox is a really unique experience with a nice mixture of physics and puzzle elements. My only complaint is that I wish that there was the option to reverse the way that you pull the slingshot. I feel that my thumb tends to cover a lot of the screen when trying to make a shot. Regardless, Marblox is a lot of fun to play. If you’re looking for something a little different, definitely check this one out!
