Back To The Stars is a level-based arcade game that was recently released on the App Store by Viktor Storozuk of Independent Game Studio. After your spaceship crashes to earth, you must escape the planet by being towed by a helpful “robodog”. BTTS is one of those “easy to play/hard to master” games. You’re basically just sliding your finger left and right as the robodog tows your ship upwards through different caverns. What makes this game tough (but fun) is that your ship is hanging by a tether and will take damage if it hits anything. The object is to basically get through each level while collecting stars and trying not to ruin your ship. Back To The Stars is a solid arcade game that gets stale after a while. The premise is good, the visuals are nice, and the physics are fun. Unfortunately, it’s kind of the same thing level after level. It would’ve been nice to have some sort of feeling of progression as you make your way through the game. Either way, Back To The Stars is a good game. With a few tweaks, it could be great!
