Remortal: A Spiritual Journey is an artistic auto-runner by Mad Llama Studios and the newest game to hit the App Store by Crescent Moon Games. Remortal’s story is a tough one to describe seeing how you learn more as you progress through the game. You’re basically trying to escape the never ending nightmare that is your reality. Each level has you running through dark corridors while trying to jump and dodge anything that comes in your way. There’s no room for mistakes in Remortal, so it took me multiple times to sweat my way through each level. Even though the game can be tough, Remortal does a good job at easing you into things. The first couple levels you are basically just dodging things, but as you get further into the game, you will start to gain abilities that need to be used to survive. There are even some light puzzle elements to keep you on your toes! I’ve been having a lot of fun with Remortal so far. It’s challenging, intriguing, and a whole lot of fun. The controls are tight and level design is really well done. There’s something new thrown at you around every corner, keeping things feeling fresh. So, if you’re looking for something unique to play, Remortal is definitely worth picking up!
