Eigen Gauge is a futuristic racing game that was recently released on the App Store by developer Blastodisk Labs. It’s a fast paced game that is spread across 9 different planets. The first thing I noticed when playing Eigen Gauge is how polished it is. The pixel art is really well done with tons of detail. Each race consists of 3 laps against multiple competitors and racing against the clock. During a race, you’ll need to pick up time extenders in order to finish. There are also gems, power-ups, and obstacles scattered on the road. It took me a little while to get the hang of things in the beginning. Races are super fast making it a bit difficult to determine if a power-up or an obstruction is quickly coming up on you. Opponents aren’t the honest of drivers either! Gems that are picked up can be used to purchase and upgrade new vehicles and power-ups. There’s actually quite a bit to unlock in this game. Unfortunately, gems are a bit tough to come by, but everything looks like they can be unlocked from just playing. I’ve been having a lot of fun with Eigen Gauge so far. It’s fast, frantic, and most of all, fun! If you’re a fan of racing games, definitely give Eigen Gauge a spin!
