Skater Mobile is an arcade skateboarding game that was recently released on the App Store by developer Battle Lab. The game has you taking control of the skater as you try to pull off the perfect line. That’s honestly about it with Skater Mobile. There’s no actual “game” here. No point system, no upgrades or power-ups, nothing to entertain the normal player. But, if you’re like me and are a fan of skateboarding in general, Skater Mobile is great! The physics are well done along with the controls being damn near perfect. There are 12 different levels with the base game and 4 levels based off of the real world Carlsbad skate spot that are locked behind an IAP. Each level is crafted fairly well with plenty of rails, manny pads, stairs, and more. My only real issue with the game is that the levels can be kind of short. By the time you pop off a few tricks, the line is over. It would’ve been nice to at least have a couple endless levels. Having the ability to purchase new boards and characters wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Regardless, Skater Mobile is a solid “game” for what it is. If you’re a fan of skateboarding games, this one is worth checking out. Just don’t go in expecting anything more than what you see in the screenshots.
