(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Dungeon Archer is a tactical puzzle game that was recently released on the App Store by Reflectica Limited. The game has you playing as a lone archer as you strategically take down enemies. Dungeon Archer kind of reminds me of Archero when it first launched. Each level has multiple waves of enemies that you’ll need to take down with a limited amount of ammo. Things are fairly simple at first with static enemies and open areas. I almost stopped playing after the first handful of levels due to it getting repetitive. Luckily, as you progress, new weapons are implemented. Each weapon has their own unique strengths adding a lot of careful planning prior to each level. Dungeon Archer is a solid puzzle game. Sure, it can be a bit “casual” looking, but the overall gameplay is fun and challenging. Later on in the game, you’ll be able to upgrade your weapons and join guilds adding a bit of depth to things. My only concern is that the game is F2P and there aren’t any ads or IAPs. So, the game could possibly be in testing or soft launch. Regardless, if you’re a fan of games like Archero, Dungeon Archer is a fun little title.
