Climb Knight iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Climb Knight is a one-button platformer and newest title to hit the App Store by AppSir Games. This one is a bit different from their usual horror games. It’s a simple high-score chaser where the object is to climb as high as possible before your inevitable death. Your little knight automatically runs left or right as you jump platform to platform while dodging traps and enemies. It’s a simple concept that is ridiculously tough! Each run is randomly generated so there is no way to learn any kind of patterns. It all boils down to skill and a bit of luck. There’s not much else to Climb Knight outside of unlocking a few new characters with the coins that you pick up during runs. But, the game isn’t trying to be anything other than what it is, a high-score chaser. Thankfully, Climb Knight has GameCenter leaderboards to keep you hooked. The downside of that is that I’m not as good as I thought I was. With a high score of only 35, I’m pretty far down on that list. Climb Knight is a really solid game with a good balance of difficulty and overall fun. And I absolutely love the 1-bit LCD look of the game. So, if you’re looking for a fun high-score chaser, definitely check this one out!

Climb Knight is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
