(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Letter Burp is a letter stacking game and the newest game to hit the App Store by developer Tepes Ovidiu (Crevasse Games). This is one of those “easy to learn, hard to master” games. The concept is simple. You have a word at the top of the screen that needs to be spelled out. You type in each letter while trying to stack and hold them for around 2-3 seconds. The first few levels were actually pretty easy with just quickly spamming the few letters and hoping for the best. But, as the game went on, I found things actually pretty challenging. As you progress, new hazards are added like moving platforms and different objects in the way. I’ve had a lot of fun with the game so far. Letter Burp is a cute arcade game with charming cartoon-like visuals and a chill soundtrack. There’s a decent amount of content with the basic game and “After Soda” mode with a collection of unique challenges and levels. There also looks to be an “Earthquake” mode that’s in the works too. I even think a trivia-style mode would be kind of fun in the future. Either way, if you’re looking for a laidback arcade game, Letter Burp is definitely worth checking out.
Letter Burp is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
Type and spawn letters, then rotate to adjust their position and ultimately stack them in order to create various words depending on the level. Keep the balance…
