(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. Usually we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Vault Life is an idle-style game that was recently released on the App Store by developer Vasily Makarov. The game has you trying to survive in an underground vault after the apocalypse. Vault Life is an interesting game. Of course, it’s HEAVILY inspired by the Fallout series, but I’m going to ignore that. The game itself consists of events happening every 10 seconds or so. These are usually scenarios that involve multiple choice answers. Your choices affect your stats most of the time. This can be anything from your happiness, strength, charisma, HP, and intelligence. Every 45 seconds or so, your vault is raided. From there you have the choice to fight or flee. As you progress, you’ll explore the world outside of your vault, gather resources, and upgrade your base. I’m still fairly early in the game, so I haven’t been able to experience everything the game has to offer. But, from what I’ve played so far, Vault Life is a pretty unique title. I will say that it’s a lot of reading and waiting around, so the game may not be for everyone. But if you’re looking for something a little different, Vault Life is worth checking out.
Vault Life is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
