Foot Joust is an endless runner of sorts that was recently released on the App Store by Farcorner Devs. The game has you playing as a knight as you endlessly slash your way through enemies until your inevitable demise. The core gameplay mechanic is memorizing your enemy’s attack patterns and counter-attacking them with the right swipe of the screen. The game starts off fairly simple with you only facing farmers. Farmers all take the same sideways swipe attack. Things start to really ramp up as you start to unlock new enemies with their own unique attack patterns. Along with unlocking enemies as you progress, you’ll be able to upgrade your armor, gain power-ups, and more. Foot Joust is a pretty solid endless runner, but it’s far from perfect. Sometimes the pixel art enemies can bleed into the background causing you to miss them and the tutorial leaves a lot for you to figure out yourself. Regardless, I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game. Foot Joust is a challenging runner with a decent amount of content to grind for. It also has GameCenter achievements and leaderboards which is always a plus. If you’re a fan of endless runners or action games, I highly recommend this one!
