(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
MineGeon is an adventure survival game that was recently released on the App Store by the team at Kickstone Studio. You play as Pepito as you get settled into your new home, you’re asked to explore the surrounding area below. Although the story in MineGeon is pretty vague, the rest of the game luckily makes up for it. There is a lot going on in this game, but the main gameplay loop is to survive as long as possible while mining for resources. Then sell those resources to upgrade your equipment so you can survive a little longer on your next run. Of course there’s a lot more to the game, but I’ve got to fit everything into a single paragraph. I’ve been having a lot of fun with MineGeon so far. The pixel art is crisp and the on-screen controls get the job done. I will say that the game starts off pretty slow. It takes forever to mine rocks and your weapon isn’t the greatest. But once you start buying new equipment, things really start to get fun. Also, the game is F2P, so be prepared for certain items being locked behind the premium currency. Either way, If you’re a fan of survival or adventure games, MineGeon is definitely worth checking out.
– Mining precious resources to progress your miner.
– Dozens of collectables.
– Safely store extra loot and resources at your base.
