(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Factory Control Inc. is a simulation game that was recently released on the App Store by Mukesh Patel. The game has you building, running, and maintaining a factory while trying to reach the top of the trading market. FCI was a bit overwhelming for me at first. There is so much to learn and even though the tutorial does a decent job, you still need to figure a lot out for yourself. Besides laying transport belts, robotic arms, and power generators, you’ll need to keep an eye on your budget, pay back loans, and purchase/maintain raw materials so you don’t run out. As you progress and expand your factory, you’ll be able to research new upgrades and different items to help you out. At first glance, Factory Control Inc. looks like a simple 2D casual game, but I learned to appreciate how much depth this game has. If you’re a fan of simulation or management-style games, Factory Control Inc. is worth checking out.
