Sky Islands is a pixel art platformer and the newest game to release on the App Store by Neutronized. Taking inspiration from the game Fez, Sky Islands changes the perspective of levels by simply swiping the screen. This adds a really unique puzzle element to the game. The object is to find all three stars and make it to the end of each level. The on-screen button controls work well and swiping to change perspective is really satisfying. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game so far. Sky Islands is just a charming no-nonsense puzzle platformer. There’s no collectibles, no story, no high score to achieve, and no currency to grind. It’s just a solid game that was made with fun in mind. (Do you remember those?)
