(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Little Triangle is an action-adventure platformer and the newest title by CottonGame. Alien beings have destroyed the Triangle Kingdom and have abducted all of the townsfolk. You play as…..well, a little triangle character that is trying to find and rescue all of his friends. Little Triangle is actually a pretty cool game. Outside of the unique hand drawn animation, the level designs are really well done! Each level is vast and almost feels like its own mini metroidvania. There are multiple levels, secret areas, traps, and more. The object is to get through each level while collecting all the diamonds, rescuing hostages, finding all the hidden areas, and finding any bonuses. There’s quite a bit of things tracked during each level, but I couldn’t find anything worth chasing outside of finding the hostages. There are no bonuses that I know of for 100% completing each level. Little Triangle is a really solid game with some fun extras. You can go to your “house” in between runs and see all the townspeople that you’ve saved. There’s also a Challenge Mode that plays like a Boss Rush. My only issue with the game were the directional buttons. They felt really small and I kept missing inputs. The optional joystick worked way better in my opinion. Regardless, Little Triangle is a unique platformer with enough content to keep you busy for a while.
Little Triangle is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
