Tiny Discs iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Tiny Discs is a casual Disc Golf-style game that was recently released on the App Store by Short Circuit Studio. It’s a game that’s made to be played daily. Each and every day, a new course is randomly generated for you to master. Each course is set up with 5 different “holes”. Similar to golf, you are scored by how many throws it takes for each hole. The final score is determined by how many total throws it takes for the 5 combined holes. So, of course, the lower the number, the better. I really like Tiny Discs so far. The controls are responsive, the visuals are clean, and it has an overall zen vibe going on. There are also a bunch of achievements to complete and a store where you can purchase daily cosmetics. Tiny Discs is perfect for killing a few minutes on the bus or whatever everyday. I would’ve liked to have seen some sort of daily leaderboard to see how you fair against the rest of the players. And it’s kind of a pain to have to watch a 30 second ad anytime you want to replay a missed course. Luckily, there’s a $4.99 IAP for unlimited play. Either way, Tiny Discs is a lot of fun. I have a feeling that it’s going to be really successful. So, if you’re looking for a new daily ritual, I highly recommend checking this one out.
