Driver Survivor is an endless runner-style game that was recently released on the App Store by Carbon Incubator. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies as you take control of a vehicle and…….well, you know the rest. Driver Survivor is similar to most endless runners where the object is to get as far as possible before eventually dying. Smashing into things and killing zombies is your main objective. As you progress, you’ll pick up coins that you can use to upgrade your vehicle and unlock new abilities. Throughout the game, you’ll be met with unique missions like kill X amount of zombies or collect X amount of coins before dying. There’s not much else to the game. Driver Survivor is basically your standard endless runner type of game. It doesn’t bring a whole lot new to the genre, but I can’t help but keep playing. The game is actually pretty FUN! The steering took me a bit to get used to (it’s really sensitive). But, it’s been fun just mindlessly grinding and upgrading my vehicle. If you’re not a fan of endless runners or are still burnt out on the genre, Driver Survivor probably isn’t going to rope you in. But, if you’re still a fan like I am, Driver Survivor is definitely worth checking out. There are tons of upgrades and vehicles to unlock and areas to explore.
