Landnama is a strategy RPG that was recently released on the App Store by Sonderland Games. It’s a settlement-building game with a bit of puzzle elements thrown in for good measure. The game has you in control of your Viking clan as you try to keep them alive and hopefully start a new civilization. Time is constantly going forward as you explore new land and build up your settlement. As seasons change, you’ll use “hearts” to make any move in the game. Once winter hits, you’ll need to have a certain number of hearts to survive the season. This is constantly on your mind with every move you make throughout the year. I was surprised at how much I liked Landnama. It’s got simple mechanics that are perfect for mobile. The game can be played in short sessions, but has enough depth to keep you playing for hours if you want. As you progress, you’ll open up new continents to take or and clans with their own unique pros and cons. Landnama is a solid strategy RPG that feels right at home here on the App Store. If your a fan of strategy games and resource management, definitely check this one out!
