Post Apo Tycoon is a post-apocalyptic city builder that was recently released on the App Store by Power Play Studio. The game has you rebuilding civilization after years of nuclear fallout. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t impressed with PAT when I first fired the game up. I actually thought it was just another idle game that is flooding the mobile market. But, once I sunk a little time into the game, it totally proved me wrong. You explore the world by clicking tiles and opening up land. As you progress, you’ll find and upgrade shelters, build roads, open up farms, and so much more. There actually quite a bit of strategy involved with what you choose to do with each tile. Farms need open prairies, while you need forests for lumber, and so on. You’ll also uncover pieces of the story and what actually happened to the world as you explore. I’ve really been having a lot of fun with Post Apo Tycoon so far. It’s easy to play and has some pretty solid pacing. Not to mention the game gives you quite a bit of freedom with an enormous map! Of course, it’s free to play, so you’ll have to deal with two different currencies, IAPs, and some optional ads, but that’s about it. If you’re a fan of idle games or city builders, Post Apo Tycoon is definitely worth checking out!
