Kingdom Two Crowns is the third installment in the Kingdom series by Fury Studios, Coatsink, and Raw Fury. If you haven’t played any of the games, Kingdom is a side scrolling micro-strategy game. Your job as a monarch is to recruit loyal subjects, build your Kingdom, and then defend it. Kingdom is one of those games that get better over time. The tutorial in the beginning is really vague. Sometimes almost too vague. By the time you figure things out, sometimes it’s too late. During the day, you are free to explore the land, build up your compound, and recruit new subjects. Once night falls, the creatures come out and attack the kingdom. If your walls aren’t strong enough, you don’t have enough soldiers, or you get caught outside, it’s usually game over. Once you die, you’ll lose your crown, whatever you’re carrying, and start over on the previous land. Kingdom Two Crowns is a lot more forgiving than the previous games in the series. It can still be really difficult if you don’t plan ahead. I’ve actually started the game over a few times after learning from my mistakes. Regardless, I’ve been loving every minute. I’ve sunk multiple hours into this game and it never gets old. I honestly can’t recommend this game enough. It far surpasses its predecessors with much more to do in the campaign and two extra scenarios. If you’re a fan of strategy games or castle defense, definitely pick up Kingdom Two Crowns.
