(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Arcane Golf is a puzzle/golf game by developers, ThatGregPerkins and FromLefcourt and published by Clickteam. I was actually surprised that this game didn’t get more attention seeing who it’s published by. Regardless, I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one. It’s basically a mini golf game set in a dark fantasy world. There’s a cool little story that’s involved and the pixel art really hits those nostalgia feels. I will say up front that Arcane Golf can be brutal at times. You’ll be moving right along and will eventually hit one of those levels that will take you dozens of tries to get past. It’s all part of it’s charm though. As I said before, I’ve been really liking this game so far. There are 200 levels across 4 different themes with tons of traps and obstacles to make things challenging. The game plays fine on an iPhone, but I’d recommend playing on an iPad if you have one. The text and even some of the courses can be a bit small on the iPhone. Regardless, for a couple bucks, you can’t go wrong with it. Arcade Golf is definitely worth your time.
