(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. Usually we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Good Coffee, Great Coffee is the newest game by Tapblaze to release on the App Store. Similar to their previous game, Good Pizza, Great Pizza, this is a cozy cooking simulator, but…..well, coffee themed. This time around you play as a barista that has just opened their new shop in Coffee Town. There are a lot of resemblances from their last title. You’re basically completing as many orders as possible before the day’s end. GC,GC is a bit more stressful in my opinion. Instead of just throwing toppings on a pizza and cooking it, you have dozens of different types of drinks to memorize. Luckily, you have a recipe book that you can quickly turn to when you get confused. As you progress, you’ll earn cash that you can use to buy new equipment, decorate your shop, and more. I’ve actually been having a lot of fun with Good Coffee, Great Coffee so far. There are literally hundreds of unique customers to interact with and tons of fun little game mechanics when creating drinks. My biggest issue is the whole “play timer” thing. You can only fill so many orders before the timer runs out and you have to wait or pay. I understand that the developers need to eat, but I’ve never been a fan of waiting to play a game. It’s unfortunate because Good Pizza, Great Pizza was originally a paid game if I’m not mistaken? Of course, that has changed over the years and it too has become free to play. Rant aside, Good Coffee, Great Coffee is a great cozy sim with tons of charm! There’s tons of content to keep you busy for quite a while. If you liked Good Pizza, Great Pizza, I highly recommend checking this one out.
Good Coffee, Great Coffee is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
