(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. Usually we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Blood Country is a quick draw-style shooting game that was recently released on the App Store by developer Adam Jones. The game has you taking on duels in the hostile lands of Blood Country. Each level has you up against a new opponent where the object is to basically kill them before they kill you. It’s a simple concept that’s all about being the fastest to shoot. I’ve actually been having a lot of fun with this game so far. There are 100 different enemies with their own unique looks and actions in the Adventure Mode. There’s also a Survival Mode that acts as kind of a high-score chaser. As you progress, you’ll earn coins that you can use to purchase new hats to wear. You can also unlock a few new weapons by completing so many rounds. There’s not much else to Blood Country, but for what it is, it’s a lot of fun. I love the western theme and silly ragdoll physics. That’s not saying that the game is perfect. I would’ve liked to have seen some sort of leaderboards for the Survival Mode and maybe some different playable characters. Regardless, Blood Country is a lot of fun. So, if you’re a fan of reaction-based games, this one is worth checking out.
Blood Country is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
