Scarecrow Tactics iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. Usually we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Scarecrow Tactics is a strategic card game that was recently released on the App Store by developer Shining Gorani. Now, I’m not the biggest fan of card-based games, but Scarecrow Tactics kind of hooked me a little. The game is about taking over regions with soldier cards. Taking over a region will give you points with the object being to have more points than your opponent at the end of each match. The biggest mechanic is your scarecrow cards. These all have unique abilities that change up each match. As you progress, you’ll earn coins and “carrots” that you can use to purchase new cards to add to your deck. Scarecrow Tactics is a fairly deep game with a decent little campaign and even multiplayer. It has a beautiful art style and some funny writing. I will say that the game takes a little while to get the hang of. It’s not something that you’re going to pick right up on in a few minutes. Hell, I’m still finding new things! I’m also not a fan of having to sign into your Apple or Google account to play. Regardless, Scarecrow Tactics is a unique game that’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of the genre.
