Pixel Shelter: Zombie Survival iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. Usually we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Pixel Shelter: Zombie Survival is a simulation/strategy game and newest title from Nimblebit to hit the App Store. Pixel Shelter is kind of a mix between their Tiny Tower Games and Fallout Shelter. The object is to build and maintain a sustainable shelter during a zombie apocalypse. As new recruits come in, you’ll assign them a living quarters and usually a job. Each survivor has their own unique stats, so picking the right person for the job is key. Your main jobs are running your power, farm, and water treatment. So, you’ll need to make sure you are producing more than you are consuming. Jobs are ran on timers ranging anywhere from a couple hours to a full day. So, there is a lot of waiting around when everyone is working. Thankfully, there are little mini-jobs that you can do like running the elevator or clearing out zombies to earn extra cash. As you progress, you can send survivors out into the world to collect resources and more. I’ve been having some fun with Pixel Shelter so far. It’s always exciting when a high level survivor walks in the door just in time. I’ve only played a couple hours so far, but I’m already a bit worried that I’ve seen everything the game has to offer. (Hopefully I’m wrong) Regardless, Pixel Shelter is still worth checking out. Especially if you were a fan of the Tiny Tower games.

Pixel Shelter is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
