Alright Glitches! Settle down now! School is in session! It’s time to nominate and congratulate our best and brightest of SNAPP Valley High in our lord’s year of two thousand twenty five. There are the games that made the biggest impact with us for one way or another. This will be excluding any subscription service games like Apple Arcade, Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc.
Before we get started, I just wanted to thank everyone for their support the past 365 days. The mobile game industry has gotten really wonky the past couple of years. Developers have moved onto greener pastures, subscription services have taken over and we have been introduced to the all new AI slop games. The industry has taken a hit, but thankfully there are always some diamonds in the rough that pop up every week.
Below are this year’s best and brightest games that graced our phones here at SNAPP Studios. Games that stayed on our devices and had us hooked for days and even weeks! These games made such an impact on us that they need to be recognized. Ladies and gentlemen, here is your Class of 2025!
Exoloper is a tactical mech combat simulator that absolutely blew us away. With tons of weapons and upgrades to unlock and a hefty campaign, we couldn’t stop playing this one.
Stair Quest is a fast-paced roguelike/platformer/RPG with unique visuals and a surprisingly good story. This is one of those games that just work really well on mobile.
Level Tank is a top-down shooter that did not get the attention that it deserved. It has tons of different game modes, unique upgrades, and an addictive game loop. I still have this game on my device.
New Star GP is an arcade racing game with more depth than some of the sim racers out there. Outside of the fantastic racing, you have dynamic weather changes, pit strategy, team management, and a whole lot more. This is a must-have for racing fans!
Townsfolk is a roguelike settlement builder with resource management and a few twists. I was hooked on this game from the second I fired it up for the first time.
Space Squad Survival is a space adventure game and yet another Rebel Twins game that I fell in love with. The game has everything from ship management, hunting, exploring, and developing new technologies. It’s all wrapped up with really fun gameplay and an easy control scheme.
Cosmo Panic is a pixel art space shooter and a game that I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time on. It’s challenging with tons of upgrades and replayability. It’s also challenging. Did I say that it was challenging yet?
Bricks Breaker RPG is a……well, it’s a Brick Breaker-style RPG. There’s boss fights, unique balls, looting, crafting, and fishing? I played this one all the way through it’s 100 or so levels and still was left wanting more.
Pickaxe King Island is a tycoon-style game that hooked me in fairly quickly. It’s a lot of busy work with collecting resources, but that’s what I love about it. It has that whole “one more try” thing going on.
Foot Joust is a side-scrolling endless runner that didn’t get the attention that it deserved. I guess that you have to be into the genre, but the game is packed with so much content that I’m still unlocking new things almost a year later.
These are the games that stuck with us throughout 2025. Of course, we had some big releases last year, but I wanted to stick with games that weren’t just ports of already established titles from different platforms. So, here’s to 2026! I look forward to seeing what this year has to offer. Snappy New Year Glitches!
