The Rolling Chaos is an action-roguelike that was recently released on the App Store by Chinese developer Very Fun! The game has you controlling a tentacle wielding creature as you make your way through busy cities while killing everything in sight. Now, this whole multi-legged creature theme is far from new. They all look the same to be honest. But I decided to try this one out with it being such a slow week on the App Store at the moment. Surprisingly, this game is actually pretty fun. Each level has your creature automatically moving forward as you tap on the left and right side of the screen to spin your creature clockwise and counterclockwise. Enemy planes and missiles will come in from all sides as you line up your tentacles to block/attack them. As you progress, you’ll earn currency that you can use to add more tentacles and purchase/upgrade weapons. But once you die, you lose everything. Thankfully, you can earn currency to upgrade permanent “talents” to make your creature stronger. The Rolling Chaos isn’t going to amaze you with anything that it delivers. The game’s theme and most of its mechanics have been done before in other titles. But, the game is pretty fun for the most part. So, if you’re looking for a gun slinging multi-tentacle creature game, The Rolling Chaos has got you covered!
