Resume Please! is a pixel art HR simulator that was recently released on the App Store by Thrall Interactive. The game has you playing as the head of a new company as you try to keep up on the day to day operations and eventually turn a profit. Resume Please took a little while to grow on me. The gameplay is almost like watching an ant farm grow. You watch your employees work and keep them in line by tapping on them if they stray too far away from their desk. Workers will fall asleep in break rooms, gossip with each other, and even embezzle money if you’re not paying attention. Resume Please is just a lot of tapping on employees at first, but as you progress and start getting to know your employees, things start to get a little more strategic. I’ve actually had some fun with this game so far. The writing is pretty witty and there are a lot of random variables thrown at you to keep you on your toes. I would have liked some sort of customization in the game. It would’ve been cool to actually create your own company name, logo, and building. Regardless, Resume Please is a pretty fun game. It may not be for everyone, but if you’re into simulators, this one is worth checking out.
