They Breathe iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)

They Breathe is one of those games that are really tough to review without giving too much away. It’s a game about a bizarre underwater forest. You play as a lone frog that’s trying to reach the bottom of the water filled ecosystem. Controlling the frog is done by simply tapping on the screen where you want to go. You can also simply drag you finger and the frog will follow. Throughout your journey, you’ll be met with waves of different creatures that are usually trying to kill you. You’ll need to find out the strengths and weaknesses of each enemy, so you’ll end up dying a handful of times. I’m really trying not to ruin anything. They Breathe is better going in knowing as little as possible about the game. This is one of those games that you’ll either love or hate it. Personally, I loved it. Sure, it’s a bit short at around 30 minutes, but it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a unique experience, definitely give They Breathe a shot. And with the game being so short, I recommend playing alone with some headphones on.
