(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)
CrashCrafter is indie developer, Naquatic’s newest game on their “Crafter” series. This time around their motto is, “Dream it!, Craft it!, Crash it!”. You can create your own vehicle and compete online with it in demolition derby. Crafting is simple with a grid-based system. As long as you have wheels, an engine, and a seat to sit on, you can pretty much build whatever you want. As you play, you’ll earn experience and unlock new materials like plastic, iron, brick, etc. There are also cosmetics and different drivers that you can buy with the coins that you win. The biggest part of the game is Clan Wars, where you and a group of friends can compete against others for prizes. CrashCrafter is a lot of fun, but I can see it getting repetitive for some after a while. Besides the demolition derby, there isn’t much else to do. You can unlock different arenas, but it’s all still the same thing. I would love to see actual races added to game eventually. As it stands, CrashCrafter is still a great game. There’s plenty of things to unlock and tons of people playing right now. If you’re a fan of the Crafter series or want to try out something unique, CrashCrafter is a game worth checking out.
