(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Smash Racing is an arcade chase game by indie developer, BT Notifier. It’s a simple game where you play as a bank robber as you try and avoid the police for as long as you can. Controlling your vehicle is simple, with just tapping the left/right side of the screen to turn. There are a bunch of different rides, each with their own special abilities and the locations are pretty cool with a bunch of little surprises. My only concern is that the game plays a lot like Pako Forever by Treeman Games. I’m talking a LOT. It’s not an exact copy of the game, but you can tell that Smash Racing is heavily inspired by Pako Forever. The game itself is still pretty fun. The physics are well done and the fact that it’s a “premium” game really helps. Everything can be unlocked by just passing missions. Smash Racing is a solid little game on its own, but I can’t help but compare the two and Pako Forever is definitely the better game in my opinion.
