Solisquare iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)

One thing I’m horrible at is card games. Physical and digital. I pretty much know how to play Go Fish! and Crazy 8s. (Wait. I may have forgotten how to even play that!) So, I usually end up distancing myself from a lot of card-based games. Solisquare is a bit different though. I’ve actually been having fun with this one! Basically, the object is to reveal all 52 cards by building up or down in four different piles. I have absolutely no clue how to play Solitaire, but I figured this game out fairly quick. There’s actually a lot of strategy involved too! Rounds can be quick and unforgiving if you just start flipping cards. The game makes you think! As you progress, you can earn “points” and unlock new decks. The more you win with each deck, you can level that deck up and add multipliers to it. There’s also a “Battle Mode” to play against other players around the world and of course, GameCenter achievements and leaderboards. Chain Reaction Games did an excellent job on this one. Solisquare is a unique take on an old game. Most of all, it’s a lot of fun……and that’s coming from someone that’s not a fan of Solitaire games.
